There were plenty of boos and cheers as Whitchurch Amateur Operative and Dramatic Society (WAODS) performed their annual family pantomime.

This year's performance saw the WAODS tell the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to a packed out Whitchurch Civic Centre last weekend.

Written by society member Garry Bailey and directed by Rose Hall and David Pearce, the performance was met with a good response from the audience.

Director Rose said: "Rehearsals started in earnest for Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs in September, our cast and chorus have spent a lot of time rehearsing and laughing at the wonderful script provided by one of our members Garry Bailey and singing along under the wonderful supervision of CJ Allen, our musical director.

"Myself and David have worked hard to bring this wonderful show to life for Whitchurch.

"The show was received by very enthusiastic audience's every night who were always willing to join in to boo and cheer.

"Saturday afternoon saw a nearly sold out performance with over 270 adults and children attending.

"For the cast it was wonderful to see the joy on children's face's at the magic they had created, and the wonderful praise on social media liking it to "professional shows" inspires us to continue."

Rose added that the society are always seeking new members for different roles in the society – backstage, onstage, wardrobe and many more supporting roles.
