Malpas’s Jubilee Hall played host to a charity Christmas Fair on Saturday.
The village hall, in Old Hall Street, entertained Malpas Cancer Friends’ fair which had plenty on offer for the early morning guests.
The group of volunteers, who have all had cancer, are their experience and training to help others overcome their fears during treatment of the disease with meetings or advice.
Wendy Richardson, part of the committee and events organiser, was delighted with the number of people making the trip to the village so early.
“The day was busy from the start,” she said.
“It was great to see so many people helping out. All of the stalls and goods, bar two or three, are all items donated by local people and companies.
“It goes to show the community and giving spirit Malpas has.”
Stalls on the day included plenty of festive items for those who have still not put their decorations up, plus books and refreshments.
