RESIDENTS at care home in Malpas are dleighted after one of the UK’s finest chefs joined the to create an array of culinary delights.

Paul Wright has started work at Prospect House residential care home with a revamped menu for residents.

With more than 26 years in the catering business, the former Gleneagles Hotel and Michelin Star chef brings his lifetime love of food to residents with a menu that reflects residents’ most treasured food memories and preferences.

“I am thoroughly enjoying bringing fine dining to residents at Prospect House,” he said.

“From a particularly favoured South African curry, to a Friday fish and chip special, my menus are created with the residents and always feature good quality, and where possible, local produce.”

Caroline Rowland, matron of Prospect House, added: “I think you could say we have achieved a fine dining coup by recruiting Paul.

“Residents are so overjoyed with the re-vamped menus that they have personally congratulated management on the appointment.”

Paul is a recent member of the National Association of Care Catering, an organisation committed to raising standards of care catering and championing the positive impact nutrition, hydration and mealtimes have on the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of the elderly and vulnerable in care settings.

He now plans to participate in the NACC Care Chef of the Year 2019 award.
