Eddisbury MP Antoinette Sandbach gave her support for 'Giving Tuesday' last week.
It is the global day of giving, a reminder of the need to give to charity following Black Friday and Cyber Monday when many people go shopping, falling on November 27.
Ms Sandbach encouraged local charities and businesses to get involved in the campaign.
She said: “I was delighted to be part of 'Giving Tuesday'.
"It is a great opportunity for charities to amplify their voice, for businesses to give something back and for individuals to support a cause that means something to them.
"I would encourage all my constituents to use this one day to make a world of difference.”
This is the fifth year Giving Tuesday has taken place in the UK.
More than 2,300 charities and businesses have signed up as partners including Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie, among others.
