An Oswestry slimming group is bringing some early festive cheer with a charity event next month.

With the help of her members, Slimming World consultant Emma Thompstone, is hosting a Christmas bazaar at the Memorial Hall on Saturday, December 1.

The event is in aid of Hope House Children's Hospice.

Emma said: "The role of a Slimming World consultant is so rewarding, often I'm one of the first to hear of members' good news, pregnancy, engagement and so much more, but it is also tinged with sadness when members share tragedy with you too.

"In my short time as a Slimming World consultant three of my members have lost babies and young children, and Hope House has been their lifeline, in fact some of these families are still receiving support some two years on.

"It is for this reason that we a s group continue to support such an important local charity."

In the run up to the event, members of Emma's Slimming World groups have generously donated clothes they have slimmed out of which will be on sale, while others are supporting with stalls selling a range of cakes, gifts, and crafts.

There will also be a raffle with some great prizes generously donated by local businesses, and Hope House will be in attendance selling Christmas cards and gifts.

The bazaar runs from 10am and 2pm.
