One of the most popular events of the Whitchurch calendar went off with a literal bang over the weekend as Alderford Lake held its firework display.
The lake, which is on the outskirts of town, is always a popular draw with residents from Whitchurch and surrounding areas.
There were two huge displays put on by the owners of Alderford, with a more sound sensitive display for youngsters not yet brave enough for the big booms sounding out over north Shropshire on Saturday night.
People of all ages were treated to the fun of the fair at the lake, in Tilstock Road, with plenty of traditional snacks on offer, as youngsters enjoyed classics such as toffee apples and marshmallows.
The displays yet again took the breath away with no expense spared by Alderford on creating a night to remember for many young people across Whitchurch.
The grounds around the lake provided the perfect backdrop for some spectacular colours and bangs as Bonfire Night was celebrated early.
