Inquest opened
An INQUEST has opened into the death of a man from Prees near Whitchurch whose car was in collision with a tree.
Simon Peter George, 46, died when his blue Ford Focus left the road at Adderley near Market Drayton.
The accident happened on the A529 Adderley road around 11.30am on October 20 as Mr George was driving towards Adderley from Market Drayton.
Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Coroner’s officer Michael Homden said that Mr George, of Twemlows Avenue, Higher Heath, Prees, was pronounced dead at the scene and had been formally identified by his wife, Rachel.
The inquest was adjourned and will be resumed on January 23 at the Shirehall, Shrewsbury.
West Mercia police are investigating the cause of the accident which occurred on the A529 near Adderley Lodge Farm and have appealed for witnesses.
