The Ellesmere Community Care Centre League of Friends has been busy fundraising for different businesses across Ellesmere.
Chair of the trustees Doreen Roberts was on hand to present donations to three community groups in the town; The Plantation Wood Trust, towards tree felling and pruning work needed to create a safe area for visitors and local walkers; the Ellesmere Rangers Football Club, towards costs for managing 10 teams for various ages and gender; and to Our Space project, to create 100 larger-than-life flowers in remembrance of those from the Ellesmere area who lost their lives in the First World War.
Doreen added: “Our busy League of Friends charity shop in Scotland Street is always seeking new volunteers.
“If you are able to offer two or three hours each week please call in the shop or phone me on 01691 623217.”
