Whitchurch

Cadets

The Annual General Meeting of the Whitchurch Air Cadets will take place on Friday, November 16, beginning at 7.15pm, at the Drill Hall in Mill Street in Whitchurch.

Parents of cadets and general public are invited to attend and support a thriving organisation offering young people experiences and skills they cannot get anywhere else, many of which will be useful to them throughout their life.

You may want to just find out more about us and meet the staff, or even join the Cadet Welfare committee and support us in a more active role.

Whatever your thoughts may be, we look forward to meeting you.

Walkers

On Saturday, October 27, Whitchurch Walkers will meet at 1.30pm for a Further Afield and Fairways led by Baz Fewster.

Meet at Sherry Mill Hill car park at 1.30pm. This walk will be based on walk one from our book '10 varied walks around Whitchurch, Shropshire' and extended.

We will appreciate some interesting buildings including St Alkmund’s Church and the Old Grammar School.

We will then follow a gently undulating and scenic walk with plenty of interest. Field boundary crossings will mainly involve stiles and some footbridges.

Please bring suitable clothing, footwear and refreshments.
