Malpas-based electrical firm Barlows is celebrating after winning a prestigious business award.
The firm, which has shops in Whitchurch, Ellesmere and has its base in Malpas, picked up 'Employer of the Year' at an awards ceremony held in Chester Cathedral on Friday October 12.
The award, sponsored by SAS Daniels at the 15th Cheshire Business Awards, was collected by director Mark Holden who was delighted that Barlow's hard work in recruiting and training staff has paid off.
"It was such a privilege to pick up this award," he said.
"It is dedicated to everyone one of our employees, from first year apprentices, to the managing director.
"Each and every one of us has a part to play in our continued growth and success, both in our local community and on the national stage.
"It's more of an achievement when you look at the amazing quality of our finalists – Chester Zoo, and Mere Golf and Country Club."
