Whitchurch Young Farmers Club are in the middle of a busy few weeks after attending a Shropshire wide event before their own annual shindig next week.

Members of the club attended the Shropshire Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs annual Chairman's Ball which was held at Coton Farm on August 25.

Hundreds of young local farmers attended the event, where there was a charity concert.

Meanwhile, on September 15, Whitchurch YFC will be holding its own annual do at the Civic Centre in the High Street.

They will be 'riding down to the ranch' for their annual dinner and hoe down from 7.30pm for a drinks reception with a three-course meal and DJ Tech will be performing.

Tickets are £30 per person, while the dress code is black tie with a hint of the 'Wild West'.

n The club also recently held a 'Frogs, Hogs and Tarts' charity lunch at Mill farm in Coton on September 2.

A club spokesperson said: "Thank you everyone who supported today. We hope you enjoyed the fun-filled afternoon

"We raised an amazing £1,522 for charity.

"[Our] charities are the Brains Tumour Charity, Severn Hospice and Bradbury Day Care Centre plus some for Whitchurch YFC's ploughing match in 2019 .

"That brings our total raised for our three charities this year to £13,322.

"[That is] is amazing work by all of Whitchurch YFC and thank you everyone for your support."
