THE hunt is on for a walk-in thief who stole from a flat.
Police are appealing for information after someone walked through an unlocked door and stole two handbags from a flat in Whitchurch High Street, sometime between 11.30pm on May 31 and 9am the next day.
A police spokesman said that the handbags were found in the grounds of a bank in St Mary's Street on June 3.
Anyone with information can contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident reference 0131s 010618.
Other incidents being investigated by West Mercia Police include:
- An attempt to break into sheds at premises in Moreton Street, Prees sometime between May 30 and June 1. Window frames were damaged but no entry was reported. (Incident ref: 01643s 020618.)
- Damage to the door of a vehicle renovation business - along with theft of equipment - in Moreton Street, Prees, which was reported to police on June 5. (Incident ref:0746s 050618.)
