Students and staff from Sir John Talbot's School in Whitchurch donned their trainers for a fundraiser last week.
Cancer Relief included a mile-long circuit within the school grounds and raised £302.
The idea was championed by PE teacher Sarah Newey, who also took to the sports field to get the runners under starters' orders.
A spokesperson for the school said: "It was a fantastic event with both pupils and staff taking part to raise money for a worthwhile cause.
"Well done to all those who participated either by taking part or helping out and to Miss Newey."
