RHUDDLAN will greet the old and the new for an uplifting festive musical treat next month.

Llangwm Male Voice Choir, established in 1930, will lead an evening of song which will also feature Rhyl teenage singing sensation Bethan Tomkins and Côr Clwyd, formed in 2015 on Friday December 7.

National Eisteddfod Winners in 2013 and 2014, Llangwm Male Voice Choir are renowned for their spine tingling performances.

Joining the choir is Tomkins, who recently wowed crowds opening September's BBC Wales’ Proms in the Park in Colwyn Bay with her powerful, heartfelt performance and keeping the clouds at bay as they threatened to wash out proceedings.

Tomkins - who was present during the Manchester Terror attack in 2017 - performance of the Oasis classic Don’t Look Back in Anger by the latter was a particularly poignant., putting her on equal footing with headliners Katherine Jenkins and Lee Mead for what was a soaring celebration of classic and contemporary music.

The staggering young talent will also take part in Rhyl’s Christmas lights switch on alongside X Factor winner Shayne Ward and the cast of Rhyl Pavilion’s Pantomime Aladdin on Saturday, December 1.

The evening will raise much needed funds for Cylch Meithrin Rhuddlan.

Get in the spirit this christmas at the Ebenezer Chapel on Parliament Street on Friday, December 7 at 7pm.

Tickets are £8 and are available by contacting Cylch Meithrin on 07752226034.
