A WEM biking star of the future has sealed his latest title this month.
Last week, Isaac Vickery sealed the Under-12 Welsh Cross Country MTB Championship on a tough hilly course at Llanidloes in Powys.
Dad Richard said that the course’s hilly setting and the humid temperature were both challenges for Isaac to overcome, which he duly did.
He said: “The course was set on a hill farm, close to Hafren Forest, with amazing views.

“It was a hot and humid day making the three stream crossings somewhat enjoyable if not tricky obstacles.
“Isaac, racing for Rotor Race Team, started well and extended his lead throughout the race, especially making up time on the technical downhills.
“I was in the pits to encourage and douse Isaac in water at the end of each lap.
“Finishing the race over a minute ahead of his closest rival, Isaac was pleased with how he road, but he knows there are harder races to come when he starts to compete for the British Championship in March 2024.”
