Whitchurch Alport's Armenian defender Hovik Nersesyan has lost his fight to stay in the country, according to BBC Radio Shropshire.
The 23-year-old took his case to the Home Office, hoping to claim political asylum and not return to his home country for national service.
The Alport defender has previously insisted he feared being killed if he was forced to return to the country.
The Yockings Park club sought legal representation for the player at his court appearance in February while he also received huge support in a petition from Alport fans and supporters from across the non-league football.
It is understood Nersesyan is trying to arrange an appeal to stay in the country before he is expected to be deported in two weeks.
