Matt Harrold has waved goodbye to Shrewsbury Town fans after signing a deal with Npower League Two side, Bristol Rovers.
The 26-year-old journeyman striker leaves the Shrews after just one season at the club, scoring nine times in 33 starts and 14 substitute appearances.
Harrold signed on a free transfer from Wycombe Wanderers in the summer of 2010 and scored his first goal for Town in a 1-0 away win at Macclesfield in the second league game of the season.
Bristol Rovers succumbed to the relegation trap-door last season, but Shrewsbury's failure to clinch promotion is leading to changes at the Shropshire club.
Harrold is thought to have signed a two year deal for a reported fee of £20,000 between the sides.
The move could be part of Graeme Turner's plans for a Shrewsbury reshuffle, and the Shrews boss could now look to bring in a new man for the front line as he builds a side capable of making the step up to League One.
