WEM crashed to a six wicket home defeat against Barnards Green in division two of the Birmingham Premier League.

Only Mohit Kale (31) managed any sustained resistance before Dan Cohen (16) helped Wem to just 104 to defend as Jonathan Dovey (4-55), Phil Harris (2-28), Zuan Ul-Hassan (2-19) and Zahid Kafiat (2-2) starred.

Cohen (3-41) led Wem's attack in reply but Harris (44no) and Rehaan Edavaleth (24no) steered Green to 107-4 and victory.

Meanwhile Wem IIs tasted a seven wicket defeat at Wellington IIIs in division three of the Henshalls Shropshire League.

Shaun Mostert (16) and Ben Parry (14) led Wem's innings which ended with their side all out for 88 as Matthew Earley (2-2), Lewis Gough (2-27) and Hamza Bhatti (2-20) dominated.

Opener Harjot Singh (36) was joined by Elliot Byram (12no) in leading Wellington's reply before Daniel Pitchford (11) and Ian Murphy (15) guided their side to 89-3 with Harry Astley (2-25) leading the attack for Wem.

Meanwhile Calverhall celebrated a 78 run win at Iscoyd and Fenns Bank in division four.

Martin Williams (59) and Alex Pyke (64) guided Calverhall to 188-8 with Tom Lea (2-23) and Michael Walton (2-30) claiming wickets.

Tom Wynne (38) led Iscoyd's reply but Ryan Wilkinson (4-17) and Williams (3-4) starred for Calverhall and ensured Iscoyd's demise for 110.

Meanwhile Whitchurch IIs' fifth division clash at Church Stretton was cancelled while Ellesmere IIs toasted a seven wicket win at Beacon IIIs in division seven.

Tim Cliffe (40no), Dan Foskett (35no) and Jim Porter (33) guided Beacon to 161-7 with Tom Upton (3-25) and Matty Harrington (2-25) claiming wickets.

Harrington (51no) and Tom Appleyard (50) starred in reply with support from John Mooney (21) helping Mere to 164-3 and victory.
