Whitchurch Triathlon Club members were out breaking records at the North-West Sprint Triathlon in Nantwich.

This local race is always a well-attended race and with the sun shining over south Cheshire, this year was no exception.

The race is a 500m outdoor swim followed by a fast 22km cycle and finishing with a 5km off-road run.

Liddy Dudleston took a whopping six minutes off her personal best, finishing in 1:19:42, second place in her age category and 17th overall female.

Helen Vernon continued to improve with a huge three minutes off her PB to finish in 1:36.07 and 11th in age category.

Mike Reardon continues to go from strength to strength with a further two minutes off his PB, finishing in a fast 1:16:12 and 13th in age category with Caius Durling improving on his previous time too, to finish in 1:32:12 and 28th in age category.

Continuing from their Llanberis Swim-Run adventures, Sandy Bebbington and Carol Sturrock were next in the Lake District for the Breca Buttermere Sprint.

No need for bikes here, this race involved 15km of running and 3km of swimming across 10 transitions with 950m of elevation.

Despite the strong winds and the steepest climb in Swim-Running, the duo finished in 04:12 and 12th in the women’s category.

Not to be outdone by the adults, club Junior Will Dudleston raced his second 10k run at the Helena Tipping Wrexham 10km and smashed three minutes off his PB in a time of 48:56.

At the Shrewsbury Severn Mile Swim, Mike Reardon surged his way down the 700m course in a very rapid 8:30.

Meanwhile, at the Meerbrook 15km, Lee Dale and Bob Wilson both ran impressively to finish 12th (1:10:48) and 17th overall (1:14:28) respectively.
