Welsh FA Cup semi-final
The New Saints 4, Bala Town 0
THE New Saints of Oswestry Town marched into the final of the Welsh FA Cup in blistering fashion as they romped to an emphatic 4-0 win over Bala at Aberystwyth’s Park Avenue ground on Saturday.
Saints are eyeing a historic quadruple-winning season, and booked their appearance in the final of the competition they last won in 2005 through goals from Nicky Ward, Greg Draper, Ryan Fraughan and Aeron Edwards.
They will now meet League of Wales side, Cefn Druids, in the final of the competition at Bangor City’s recently opened Nantporth ground on May 5, after the eight-time trophy winners dumped their third set of Welsh Premier League opponents, Airbus UK, out of the other semi, booking a place in their first final since 1904.

Saints play Llanelli at Park Hall on Saturday (5.15pm), and will win the Welsh Premier League title if Bangor lose to Bala.
