WEM Town Football Club head into the new campaign full of optimism.

The Wemites have been bolstered by a host of new signings during the summer and go into the new Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier League campaign targeting success.

Manager Ian Springthorpe said: “The aim is to keep stabilising the club. 

“We want to keep improving on and off the pitch and secure a top half finish.”

The club have bolstered with four new signings ahead of the big kick-off.
Ben Roadnight returns to the club while the Butler Sports Ground side have also snapped up the experienced Addison Murray and Owen Griffiths with the experienced Jake Wootton completing the cast.

The Wemians can look forward to plenty of local derbies in the forthcoming season.

Despite the sad folding of Prees United the region is represented by Ellesmere Rangers and Whitchurch Alport 1946.

Ellesmere have lost several players following their resignation from the North West Counties League South with forwards Callum Graybrook and Jack Harris departing for Caersws and Llansantffraid respectively.

Meanwhile the new Whitchurch side will serve as a development team for Midlands Premier League side Whitchurch Alport.
