TWO tennis stars of the future from Whitchurch club have been again representing their club with honour after appearing for Shropshire this weekend.
Maddie Crabb and Austin Edwards, from Whitchurch and Prees respectively, were included in Tennis Shropshire's under-12 squad for boys and girls on Sunday.
The pair play at The Hollies tennis club, in Chester Road, and are considered two of the best hopes for the area, with Maddie taking part against Nottinghamshire and
A Tennis Shropshire spokesman posted on social media: "The boys played in the third/fourth place match on Sunday beating Oxfordshire 5-1, with the team winning four match tie breaks.
"The boys performed really well under pressure.
"The girls took on Nottingham today and won 5-1, finishing third in the group.
"A great weekend of tennis by all involved – well played teams."
A spokesman for The Hollies added that the club was 'very proud' of both players.
