A PARTNERSHIP between Whitchurch Rotary Club, Inner Wheel and Fourways Self Drive has led to gardens in Whitchurch bringing some very welcome colour to the town.
Volunteers from Rotary and Inner Wheel take care of the raised beds and borders at the traffic lights, the planters in the Bull Ring the gardens at the end of Pepper Street and Alkington Road. The planting each year receives generous sponsorship from Fourways Self Drive, in it's fourth year and Jill Williamson, operations manager of Fourways Self Drive said: “It’s great to see the area being cared for and bringing pleasure to visitors and local people. We are delighted to be part of this partnership."
Walter Schafer, Rotary president, said it’s a great team ethic for these events with many local people joining in to have a chat or bring out tea, and also thanked UK Nutrition for their support.
