Robert Weston Lower House Farm, Whitchurch, 27
I've only been running since 2015, for about three years. I took up running for a competition as I'm part of Whitchurch Young Farmers Club.
It was a national competition and I ended up coming second in the final. But I just started from scratch to prepare for that.
I didn't play sports or belong to any clubs or anything before taking up running.
It's a really nice break from the stress of the work on the farm. It's better when the weather is nice and you can run in that, but not in the winter when I was preparing for this, with all the snow.
I thought the 10k might have been called off because of the weather like the Shrewsbury one was.
I'm really proud to do well in what is effectively my home race. The chap who beat me was from Wolverhampton and is a really good elite runner so it shows how many good runners were there.
I'll probably do it next year as well, and a few mor ethis summe rto see how I get on.
