The WEM Civic Society are inviting people to come and hear the latest talk given by the group.
Barry Probin will be at the Senior Club on Tuesday, May 15 to give a talk about the Mosses entitled ‘Ice Age to Modern Day: A journey of 10,000 years’.
The talk will be showing the Mosses’ importance in everyday life leading almost to the destruction of Great Britain’s 3rd largest lowland bog, it role as a habitat for rare animals; and its future.
The Senior Club is in Chapel Street and the meeting is starting at 7.30 pm. Meetings are open to the public, with an admission charge of £2 but is free to members.
