There was an excellent turnout for the Whitchurch and District Lions Club last weekend.
The club held its annual dinner at Cholmondeley Coronation Hall in Bickley on Sunday, February 25 with dignitaries and members joining together for an afternoon of awards and fundraising.
Attendees were there to either support the fundraising efforts of the Lions club or receive a generous token of support from the club.
Whitchurch town mayor Tony Neville attended, accompanied by his wife Pat, and he was presented with a cheque from the club for £50 towards his mayoral charity fund.
He said: " It was an honour to attend the Lions dinner and see another fantastic group raising money for others."
Whitchurch Lions President John Gunn also presented District Governor Teresa Nixon and Whitchurch Lion Richard Macpherson with a cheque for £50 for the International Lions club Foundation.
