Pupils at one of Whitchurch's primary schools have just one message: Be fantastic – reduce your plastic!
Children at the White House School, in Prees Road, have been busy collecting plastic bottle tops as part of an awareness campaign to educate pupils about the dangers of plastic ending up in our oceans.
Geography teacher Elaine Strafford-Piper said: "The bottle tops were made into a vibrant wall display at school. "Each pupil also researched the issue, then spent time discussing ways in which we can all reduce our use of plastic.
"It was a great way to get the wider family involved in such a globally important, and current, area of concern! The added bonus was that all spare bottle tops were given to a supermarket chain in support of a charity for the blind."
Plastic in the oceans has been a top of the environmental agenda since Sir David Attenborough's Blu Planet II was aired last year.
