A 62.63-acre farm in Bronington, near Whitchurch, is being sold by Wrexham County Council.

Rosevale Farm Holding, in Long Lane, will go under the hammer on Tuesday, March 6 at 6.30pm at the Hanmer Arms.

The property has a detached farm house, a range of modern and traditional outbuildings, including a timber framed garage, dutch barn, livestock fodder store building, Somerset milking parlour, silage clamp, cubicle shed and former cow shed, and 62.63-acres of farmland, which will be sold in two lots.

Gareth Lay, associate and head of Bruton Knowles’ Shrewsbury office, which is overseeing the sale of the property, said: “This is a rare opportunity to purchase a manageable small farm holding, located in a desirable rural area."

“The property is one of the very few that has been unfettered and well farmed over the years, with no diversification or a planning history. As a result, it is very much a blank canvas for a purchaser to put their own stamp on it, whether that is for livestock farming or scope to introduce equestrian elements to the property.

“Following the recent announcement from Michael Gove supporting future income for the occupation of farm land, this should give more confidence to the market place, giving the agricultural industry a level of stability and reassurance post Brexit.”

However, as well as the property being of interest to existing and new farmers, Mr Lay said he also expects interest from lifestyle buyers.

He added: “With the property being situated in Bronington, near Whitchurch, this unique property would be attractive for existing farmers looking to expand or for a secondary livestock rearing holding, as well as those looking for a lifestyle change in a rural setting.”
