A planning application to build 130-homes at the Old Railway Station site in Ellesmere is causing a stir.
The concerns are over the access road which people think is 'not adequate'.
Fullwood Limited, a large employer in Ellesmere has commented on the proposed development.
Andrew Dodwell, director at Fullwood Limited said: "Over the next three years we will have received significant investment from our shareholder to deliver accelerated growth plans. This will lead to increasing the work force by approximately a third and therefore we are concerned that the access road planned is not adequate to meet the growing needs of our business.
"We anticipate the traffic flow of commercial and staff vehicles will increase to the premises to facilitate this growth and this could be impacted by the proposed development and upon the likely homeowners' wellbeing."
Mrs Alderson, who has lived in the area for more than 30 years is also concerned about the traffic.
She said: "I have seen the increased traffic come this way, especially with the traffic changes in Trimpley Street.
"With the building site traffic the road will be a death trap for our school children."
The plans are to transform the grade-two listed railway building in Brownlow Road into seven apartments, along with building 123 houses on surrounding land. There will also be car parking, a public open space and a new access road.
A decision will be made by June 12.
