The inaugural Classics at the College is coming to Ellesmere College on June 2.

This first event, being held in aid of Hope House Children’s Hospices, is looking to be a sell-out.

Around 40 local classic and vintage vehicles are already signed up to enjoy a scenic drive through the stunning Shropshire countryside before driving up to the magnificent gothic building of Ellesmere College.

From 12.30pm onwards members of the public are encouraged to come along to the college for free to see the fantastic selection of classic vehicles on display until 4pm.

The college will also be holding a free art exhibition on the same day which can be enjoyed at the same time. The exhibition will be in their fabulous grand hall (known as Big School) – well worth a visit for its own beauty.

Julie Kirk, organiser of the rally said: “Our classics at the college event is looking set to be a wonderful day; a great opportunity for enthusiasts to get together and show their vehicles, and members of the public to come along and appreciate their beauty whilst raising money for such an important local charity”

For any other classic car enthusiasts wanting to join the rally early bird entry is £10 per vehicle up to May 1, increasing to £15 thereafter, and you can sign up online at hopehouse/classics or by calling 01691 671671.
