Shropshire Sailing Club is looking forward to welcoming more than 100 people to Push The Boat Out as a fortnight of free ‘try sailing’ events launches across Shropshire.
The Whitemere club, Ellesmere, is one of three venues in the county inviting all-comers to have a go, as they host their event on Sunday, May 6.
Colin Smith, Shropshire SC Commodore, said: “Push The Boat Out gives everyone the rare opportunity to try something really special in a safe, friendly and beautiful environment and for absolutely free of charge.
“Once you’re tried it it’s very difficult to stop coming back.
“It has grown from a very local event, with details being spread by word of mouth, to being part of a much bigger national effort. As a result, we now regularly get over 100 visitors coming through our gates for the open day.”
