A CREATIVE hedgehog workshop was recently held at the Wardens Bungalow at the mere in Ellesmere.
Children could learn from Stuart Edmunds from Shropshire Wildlife Trust and chairman of the Shropshire Mammal Group, and Julie Burroughs, a dedicated volunteer from the Shelter Wildlife Together programme.
They demonstrated how to make a hedgehog footprint tunnel perfect for gardens.
The Shelter Wildlife Together campaign began in January 2016 as a single project with the idea of using recycled goods to create safe places for wildlife.
It also aims to bring the community, local businesses and schools together to help preserve wildlife. Two Severn Hospice sites in Shropshire have got on-board with the project with volunteers building bug boxes and bird houses for the patients.
