Secondary schools across Whitchurch, Wem and Malpas are closed today because of the weather.
Whitchurch’s Sir John Talbot and Wem’s Thomas Adams schools both posted notices on their websites saying the schools were closed to staff and students.
Malpas’s Bishop Heber High School will also be closed as a notice was posted on the Chester Road school’s website over the weekend to inform staff and students.
It said: ”Dear Parent,
“Busses are not running tomorrow, and therefore I am issuing School Closure Notice for Monday, December 11.
“We expect that school WILL be open as usual on Tuesday, December 12 – please check the website for updates.
“Students please check your school email for work from your class teachers.”
