A Wem man has denied charges of fraud relating to property equity release and the use of a relative's debit card.
Brian Patric Gillon, 54, pleaded not guilty to dishonestly applying for equity release from Age Partnership when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday.
The allegation involves property belonging to his father-in-law Brian Cashmore and is said to have happened between October, 2011 and January 2012.
Gillon also denies three allegations of falsely representing that he had permission to use Mr Cashmore's debit card to the Marston Group and Rossendales on dates in May, June and September, 2012.
The case was adjourned until July 18 for trial and Gillion, of Pepper Street, Quina Brook, Wem, was allowed bail.
