Three Whitchurch apprentices were recognised for their achievements at a recent awards evening.

The awards, held by SBC Training, was held to recognise the finalists and winners of Apprentice of the Year from across Shropshire who have trained at SBC Training.

Josh Edge of Landia (Engineering); James Fitzpatrick of Barlows UK (Elecrotechnical) and Abigail Wilkinson of Nantwich Cheese (Accounting) all received awards from Shropshire COuncil leader Councillor Peter Nutting, who praised them for their hard work.

In introducing the awards ceremony, Sam Shaw, MC for the evening, outlined that SBC Training has been supporting employers and young people to develop Apprenticeships for more than 30 years and has been responsible for thousands of young people moving successfully in to long term careers.

Sam said: "It is always a huge pleasure to hold this event and to acknowledge the work of the apprentices, the employers and the SBC Training staff who work together to produce great results."
