LLANDUDNO moved 100 points clear at the top of the North Wales Cricket Premier Division thanks to another comfortable victory, this time against Connah’s Quay Gordon Kerr moved to the top of the individual bowling statistics after taking his third five wicket haul of the season, as Llandudno’s bowlers set the foundations for a confident win.
Jack Rimmington set the tone for the afternoon, taking his first wicket in the opening over after putting the visitors into bat.
Despite the early setback, Quay rallied and proved stubborn opponents, reaching 51 for the second wicket and then 152 for the fourth to stay in the match.
Kerr took key wickets in the top and middle order to finish with five wickets for 40 runs off of 15 overs, ably supported by Jack Rimmington and Ajay Dhawan, who took two wickets each.
Chasing a total of 180, skipper Duncan Midgley led by example, grabbing a quick 50 from just 33 balls and going on to score 69 before being caught behind.
Fellow opener Steve Smith helped things along with 24, whilst Jordan Kane continued to impress with 57, who finished the innings off in partnership with Kerr to reach 181 from 43 overs, winning by 6 wickets.

LLANDUDNO SECONDS recorded a solid victory in a low-scoring affair with bottom club Rhewl.
Captain Mattie Lambe returned to action after injury, and his first job was to put his opponents in to bat having won the toss.
Andy Christian took two early wickets to make it nine for two, and despite a partnership of 41 restoring some order, strong bowling from Lawrence Clair and Lambe saw wickets falling at regular intervals.
Chris Hardy took the key wicket of resilient batsman Duane Patelow to make it 121 for seven, with only nine runs added to the total before Rhewl were declared all out.
Lambe was the pick of the bowlers with three for 26, ably supported by Clair (three for 21), Christian (two for 25) and Hardy (two for 29).
After the turn-around, Llandudno lost their opening three batsmen for a modest 40 runs, but a top score for the day of 51 from Hardy, as well as 45 for Alex Owen, ensured Llandudno took the win.
