AN APPEAL for information is underway after a man suffered a serious assault outside a Malpas pub.
At 11pm on Friday, February 23 two men left the Crown pub in High Street when there was a verbal altercation which escalated into an assault.
As part of the enquiries into the incident a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a section 18 assault. He is currently on bail pending further enquiries.
PC Craig Maddocks said: “I’d urge anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault to contact us so that we can progress our enquiries.
"The same goes for anyone that may have information that could help us with our investigation.”
