A STRETCH of the A525 closed for much of the day in Wrexham has now reopened.
Wrexham Council announced earlier that the A525 is closed at Chequer Bends, near Redbrook Maelor was closed because of an incident with an HGV.
Traffic was diverted via A495, Ellesmere Lane and A539.
The diversion route will be signposted accordingly.
A Wrexham Council spokesperson said: "The closure is to facilitate a HGV recovery. We can’t confirm timescales currently."
The road is now reopened.
