WHITCHURCH police officers and a local response team have arrested a woman on suspicion of a domestic related assault.
Officers from Whitchurch SNT and B Shift Response from Market Drayton attended a report of public disorder in Whitchurch last night, Wednesday, January 24.
It was found that at the scene that this was a domestic incident and the suspect is currently being held in custody as investigations continue.
A spokesperson from the force said: “On arrival, the call was not as originally reported, and a female was arrested on suspicion of domestic related assault where she remains in custody whilst enquiries are ongoing.
“Domestic Abuse is one of our force priorities and we encourage anyone to report concerns to us either via 101 or online, in an emergency always call 999.”
