ONE CASUALTY left in the care of ambulance, after emergency services have rushed to Wem this afternoon following the collapse of a kitchen ceiling.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called out to reports of collapse of structures in Kynaston Drive, at around 2.26pm.
Two fire appliances, including the rescue tender, were mobilised from Wem and Whitchurch.
The ambulance service and an operations officer were also sent to the scene.
A spokesperson from SFRS said: “Partial collapse of ceiling in the kitchen, area has been made safe and one casualty is in the care of the ambulance service.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) sent paramedic and an ambulance to the incident.
A spokesperson from WMAS added: "On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was treated and taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital."
