THE INQUEST into the death of a 52-year-old man who died at his home in Ellesmere has been opened and adjourned.

Wayne John Allum was found at his home on Wednesday, December 13.

The inquest was opened at Shirehall in Shrewsbury by the chief coroner for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, John Ellery, then adjourned to a later date.

Tributes were paid to Mr Allum over the weekend, after his family announced he had passed away.

The court heard on Tuesday (December 19) that the police and ambulance were called out to the scene, where they discovered Mr Allum.

Police went on to confirm that the death was not suspicious.

Mr Ellery adjourned the inquest to Wednesday, March 13.
