THE final Whitchurch Rotary car boot sale of the year is fast approaching.
On Sunday, October 1, Whitchurch Rotary will host the last of its six car boot sales, offering an early shopping opportunity for Christmas enthusiasts.
The event, at Alderford Lake on Tilstock Road, marks the culmination of a successful season of summer and autumn sales, establishing itself as one of Rotary's most effective local fundraising endeavours.
Proceeds generated from the events have played a vital role in supporting local causes.
Club president Graham King said: “If we are to continue our programme of community support we desperately need to generate regular income.
“And this last car boot sale of the season will help us to fund the hot meals that we cook, using ingredients supplied by our local supporters, for delivery to elderly and disabled people on Christmas morning.
“It’s a four-way win – car boot sellers generate income; buyers pick up bargains; Rotary earns money that we seriously need; and our community receives the increased funding that we are able to offer.”

Funds have been collected through entry fees for both buyers and sellers, and these contributions have been important in financing charities and community initiatives in the Whitchurch area.
Additionally, they have made a valuable contribution to Rotary's global relief efforts.
With the holiday season approaching, the final sale of 2023 is expected to provide a wide array of early-bird Christmas bargains.
Doors for the event will open at 9 am, with an entry fee of £1 per person.
Sellers can set up on-site starting from 8 am, with fees ranging from £10 to £15.
