ORGANISERS of Ellesmere Carnival have released the latest details for the event on Saturday (August 19), including road closures and what's on.
The hugely popular event will return to the town this weekend, with residents encouraged to get involved and help make the day a celebration.
A spokesman for the carnival said: "The parade through the town will start at 12pm with road closures in effect.
"We are expecting a larger-than-normal colourful parade of floats, tractors, marching bands and walking groups.

"Stalls will begin in the Cremorne Gardens from 10am and we will commence entertainment following the parade where we will have marching bands and dancers performing along with stalls and family-themed attractions.
"Following this we will have live bands taking to the stage though into the evening finishing with the mighty Blozone who are on stage at 8.30pm.
"The Carnival Queen this year is Freya McArthur aged 11 and the junior carnival queen is Gabriella Smith, nine, with both girls having previously helped with carnival activities through family volunteers.
"We wish them and all our participants a very happy carnival day."
