Veterans and residents in Whitchurch, Wem, Malpas and Ellesmere came together last Sunday to remember those who have given up their lives in battle.

She was joined at the cenotaph in Station Road by North Shropshire MP Owen Paterson and town Mayor Councillor Tony Neville.

Cllr Neville’s Wem counterpart Cllr Edward Towers led the led the way in the town’s parade as Ruth Wilson played the Last Post for the gathered crowd.
