WHITCHURCH Alport Juniors arranged a charity football match between coaches and parents to raise money for Little Bears Children’s Day Care.
A total of £250 was raised by the event and Little Bears chose to spend the money on a wooden block play set for the children.
Alport thanks all those who took part in the match and generously donated money.
The match took place in the summer on one of the hottest days of the year and ended in a 2-2 draw, with the coaches taking the honours – and saving their blushes – by edging a penalty shoot out.
Whitchurch Alport now hope to have a charity match every year to benefit more local projects.
