NORTH Shropshire company Fourways Selfdrive is celebrating after serving its 20,000th customer.

The firm, which is based in Whitchurch and Prees, treated its lucky customer Barry Gleave to a surprise of balloons, cake and bunting, as well as a donating the hire fee to Hope House Children’s Hospices.

Manager Andy Millichamp said: “It is a very proud day for us all.

“We really pride ourselves on our customer service and believe that is the reason Selfdrive has continued to grow despite global downturns.”

Barry, a local painter and decorator, was all smiles as he joined in the celebration.

He commented: “Fourways is such a great company; the service is so good. The cars and vans are always fantastically looked after and really well valeted. I would never go anywhere else.

“I know they look after some huge corporate clients but they never forget the man on the street like me. They are so down to earth and willing to go the extra mile for everyone.”

Andy continued: “It’s such a great day for us and to also be able to support such a worthwhile cause in Hope House feels really fitting.

“We are here only thanks to the wonderful support we get from the local community. That is why we use local companies as suppliers and we give back to good causes such as Hope House whenever we can.”
