OWEN PATERSON has pledged to continue his vision over the next five years in North Shropshire, including focusing on transport, communications and the economy.

The Conservative MP won his seat with more than half the vote - 27,041. He said: "I remember the just over half who have voted for me, but I also remember the slightly less than half who have not and will continue to serve you all in exactly the same way as I have in the previous four Parliaments." While the other four candidates look despondent, they all expected a Tory win and tell the anticipating Whitchurch Civic Centre that they will continue their individual campaigns.
