FIREFIGHTERS were called to a car fire near Wem on Thursday night.
At 10.46pm, Shropshire Fire and Rescue received the call of a car on fire in Noneley, on the outskirts of the town.
One fire engine was deployed from Wem and crews used breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to tackle the fire.
West Mercia Police were also at the scene of the incident.
The car was extinguished by crews by 11.16pm.
