WHITCHURCH'S Trevanion and Dean will be offering two significant lots at their next auction this coming Saturday – including the contents of an entire country house.

Hinton Hall, on the outskirts of Whitchurch, is currently changing owners after being up for sale for around £1.25 million – but the current owners have instructed the auction house, in Station Road, to sell off the current contents.

Auctioneer Aaron Dean admitted he and business partner Christina Trevanion were delighted to be entrusted with the sale.

He said: “We are honoured to be offering the contents of Hinton Hall as part of our next auction.

“It is one of the most stunning properties in the county and the contents reflects its eclectic past.”

The grade II-listed country house was built in 1859 for Robert Peel Ethelston.

Meanwhile, Trevanion and Dean are also offering the personal collection of Rachel Bishop, an internationally-acclaimed artist who is part of Moorcroft designers.

The chance to bid on the personal collection of Bishop, who is described as a true disciple of William Morris, is a rare opportunity, according to Christina.

The auction, which starts at 10am on Saturday, will have 60 lots from Moorcroft available, ranging from £40 to £1,000 in price.

Prospective purchasers are urged to attend the company’s public viewing on Thursday, April 20 from midday to 7pm, on Friday, April 21 from 9am to 5pm.

Alternatively, all pieces are illustrated on their website www.trevanionanddean.com
