Criftins Parish Hall near Ellesmere has been going through a huge improvement programme since the spring.

A hard working group of trustees and volunteers have taken over the running of the village hall in Dudleston Heath.

Three events are taking place in the next few weeks.

On Thursday October 25 there is the monthly Coffee Club which this month is raising funds for Ellesmere British Legion’s poppy appeal.

At this event the first draw will take place of the Criftins Parish Hall ‘200 club’.

A special event is taking place on Saturday November 3.

The trustees are putting on a coffee and cake morning for all the volunteers who have worked behind the bar, cleaned, painted, gardened and fund raised.

On Saturday November 10 the trustees are holding a ‘Magic Night’.

Kane and Abel will entertain following a two course dinner.

Kay Egerton, a trustee, said: “Without the continued support of around 50 people we could not have achieved so much in such a short time.”
